Caption:
Made from walnut coloured Bakelite (Phenol formaldehyde), it has a 'Michelin' man of ivory urea formaldehyde sitting on its edge and was made to promote Michelin tyres. Phenolic and urea formaldehyde plastics are heat resistant so are well suited for use as ashtrays.
